Meet Emily

Born May 1, 2010, Emily Anne Love was a blessed gift from God to her family. With her golden curls, infectious laugh, and wide smile, Emily steals the heart of everyone she meets.

Up to trouble!

Like her nickname-sake, Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch), Emily is a combination of playfulness, love, and mischievousness. As the youngest of five, Emily is no stranger to competing for attention but she seldom has to strive hard to get it. It has often been joked that one babysitter is needed for Emily’s four elder siblings and one just for Emily alone! Wherever she is, whoever she’s with, Emily is ready to play and laugh and explore the world!

Inherited from her mother, and shared with her sister, Emily has a passion for shoes! The prettier, the sparklier, the fancier…the better! At her Aunt Gaby’s wedding in November 2011, Emily stole the show during the toasts by donning her mother’s four inch heels and strutting around the stage. To match her shoes, Emily is rarely without bows in her hair and beads around her neck. Tutus are a favorite as well!

Dressed to impress!

Behind Emily’s charm lies a strength and fight that runs deep in both sides of her family. She’s stubborn about what she wants and mischievous in how she gets it. If she falls down, she gets right back up. And very little scares the pint-sized gal. She’s smart too. Teaching big sister how to escape from their room at night and knowing exactly which pacifiers are her favorites on the shelf at Target.

Emily is part of a large family, made even larger by God’s love. Her older brothers dote on her and her big sister loves to finally have a girl to play and share shoes with! She has more aunts and uncles than a little girl could know what to do with and grandparents that live for her every smile. Through church and school and the power of the Lord, Emily has been surrounded by love and prayer since before she was born and it is that which will carry her through the months and years ahead. It will be a long journey, but A.L.L. has an 80 to 90% cure rate – something we believe can be made 100% by prayer!

Listen here for Emily’s story in her parent’s own words (prepared by The Wolf 101.9 for the Children’s Miracle Network Care-a-thon).

  2. Even though you don’t know me, please know that my prayers are with you and your family.

  3. Gabby,
I was inspired reading about “Little Lady Love” and her shoe, hair-bows, and beadwear. God niether sleeps nor slumbers. He knows about Little Lady Love and is her refuge. PIP (Prayer is Powerful)

“Because he loves me, says the Lord,” says the Lord, I will rescue him. I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
    Psalms 91: 14-16

Yoko thank you for taking time in your day to lift Emily up in prayer! Thank you Peris as well. I am actually not the one doing the Blog. Our sister Elisabeth is. I know she will see this and appreciate the comment. So many people are calling on the Lord with Emily by name. We are all so overhelmed with the love and prayers. I hear every day of people around the country having prayer meetings for Emily and Family. There is no way that we will ever be able to thank everybody with the sincerity that we feel in our hearts. Just the thought brings tears to my eyes. God has blessed as all with incredible family, friends and as of late, strangers who are filled with such love and compassion. Thank you all!!

  5. I don’t know you either but I will say a prayer for your Emily.

  6. To those praying on behalf of my baby girl,

I cannot explain the since of thankfulness and love I feel for your outreach on this situation. My heart constantly aches for my daughters health, and all of your prayers are helping to ease the pain. It is awesome how people who do not know each other can up lift one another with the common ground of prayer to our God. I thank all of you with love, compassion, grace, and indebtedness for the prayers on my daughter.

  8. Dear Emily it was a pleasure meeting you. As a follower of Christ I truly believe He has a plan for us all and hearing your parents nickname for you today brought everything full circle. If the face of God can be felt through a child’s smile I saw His today. Thank you

    • We are so excited to help you over the next few months, Bernice! It was fun to meet you and your husband and to learn of the nickname connection 🙂 Thank you for your prayers!
